Contract Horton Insited on Then Refused to Sign in 2009
In May of 2009 Jessica Horton and her felon husband Jason had fled Washington State after losing their jobs at Brio Realty (after just 90 days), and apparently engaging in a somewhat testy disagreement with its owner over unauthorized checks being cut from the company account (see emails).
The Horton’s were at the time leasing a home from me which I leased to them while working as an agent at Brio, shortly before I went to Iraq to work for the Defense Department.
Jessica Horton (via email) requested I prepare a written agreement for her and Jason outlining their debt to me after abandoning the home they had leased (full of furniture). I prepared the agreement below and emailed it to her.
Upon its receipt, Jessica said she thought it was fair, but wanted her lawyer to read it over just the same; she then refused to sign it, or any other such agreement.
In all the years since, the Horton’s have refused to pay the money they owe me, even after going online to the ripoffreport.com and reiterating their desire to make good on their debt in 2015.
The Horton’s have over the years proved themselves to be extremely deceptive and manipulative people; while passing themselves off as “good Christians”.
