The “Thank You” scam is funny. You will receive an email telling you how much you’re past efforts are appreciated, and how badly the sender wants to give you a fortune in cash to show their gratitude.
Sometimes these emails follow after you failed to send money in a previous solicitation, and they want to make you believe you passed on a great legitimate opportunity to make millions (thereby motivating you to jump on this one).
Other times the emails are sent hoping that although you don’t have a clue what their talking about, you will be dishonest enough to seek compensation for efforts you never made, and essentially steal the money another was meant to have.
Regardless of which it is the end is the same; if you want the fortune, you must pay the Piper, via Money Gram or Western Union of course.
