Of all the people I can think of that would never email you an offer of a refund, the IRS has to be at the top of my list; it’s just not going to happen, not ever.
I get these emails fairly frequently, and I have no doubt some poor fool will fall for it every time tax season rolls around.
I’ve only saved a few of them since they’re always essentially the same, but in case you’ve not yet received one, take a gander at them.
