I am no expert on Nazi headgear, but I do use common sense when evaluating or buying them.

The fact is that genuine headgear pieces are expensive and SS pieces are insanely expensive; thus no sane person puts them on eBay to sell.  

You won’t score a genuine SS helmet or visor cap on eBay for a few hundred bucks.

Any owner of such a relic can contact a vendor of genuine Nazi items and be paid thousands for it.

So use your head, and deal with reputable vendors for genuine helmets and visor caps.
